YOUR QUESTIONS
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO START PREGNANCY YOGA CLASSES?
Pregnancy classes are recommended from 12-14 weeks onwards. There is a lot of change happening in your body during the first trimester and we would suggest that you wait until the second trimester to get started with your yoga practise.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO START POSTNATAL CLASSES?
Everybody's experience is different so please do listen to your own body and your GP. In general, most women can start classes from six weeks after a vaginal birth or ten weeks after a caesarean birth. These classes are suitable right up to 12 months after giving birth, and are an ideal accompaniment during maternity leave!
THE TIME OF THE CLASSES DOESN'T WORK FOR ME. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
Recordings are sent to everyone who has paid for the class within 24 hours. If you cannot make the scheduled time, you can book the class and receive the recording without attending the live class. We will give you a call in advance to understand where you are in your pregnancy and offer any modifications to poses taught in the class.
CAN I BOOK A PRIVATE CLASS?
A private yoga class is a super opportunity to tailor the session to your needs. Perhaps you need special attention, are a complete beginner and would like to establish the basics before joining group classes or are unable to attend scheduled group classes. Private classes can be taken during or after pregnancy, and can be held on Zoom or in your home depending on where you live. Aislinn will customise a sequence for you that you can practise at home, before, during and after pregnancy. Your opportunity to ask any questions and tailor the practise to you!
You can book single sessions or multiple sessions at a time.
Please email hello@the-yoga-mama.com for hourly rates.
DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH YOGA TO TAKE PART?
All levels are welcome, and no experience is necessary. The beauty of yoga is that it can be tailored to everyone.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO CLASS?
Please practise on a yoga mat, in your bare feet. When practising at home, bring a pillow to sit on and a blanket for relaxation.
HOW DO I PAY FOR A CLASS?
All classes must be paid for in advance online, using debit / credit card. We do not accept cash payments.
